Nancy had a notable career with more than 50 one-person shows to her credit. Her paintings have been included and won awards in exhibitions from New York to California and she is represented in the permanent collections of Chase Manhattan Bank, NY and Zurich, The Mint Museum, Charlotte, NC The Federal Reserve Bank, Richmond, VA, The Chrysler Museum, Nortfolk, VA, The Markel Corporation, Richmond, VA and in numerous other corporate and private collections. Her work is the subject of an independent film, Vanishing Point, and she was named Virginia Artist of the Year by the WCA in 1994.

She attended Randolph-Macon Woman's College from 1948 to 1950, received her BA from Old Dominion University in 1965 and her MFA in sculpture from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1967. She received an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree from Randolph-Macon College in 1997 and continued producing new work until she passed away in late 2009.
